One of the EYFS framework’s four particular learning areas is Understanding the World (UW). Through opportunities to explore, observe, and learn about people, places, technology, and the environment, it involves helping people make sense of their physical world and their community.
It involves:
Exploration: Through observation and exploration, children learn about their society and the physical world.
Learning about people and places: Youngsters become conscious of other societies and customs as well as the people and locations in their immediate vicinity.
Learning about technology: children learn how to utilize computers and become familiar with technology and more.
However, children’s book “Understanding the World” lays the groundwork for their future study of the cultural, social, technical, and ecological diversity of the globe.
